The Choco Beef sliced meat (cut from the ribeye) is a sought-after cut among discerning steak gourmets due to its pronounced marbling and tender texture with an intense meat aroma. The fact that this taste experience has also made it onto international tongues is once again thanks to the innovative spirit of John “Sashi” Nielsen. The Dane and founder of the renowned meat production company JN Meat is a true “maniac” when it comes to excellent meat. His unerring nose for the best quality brought him to Finland. Everything there convinced the expert. Particularly protein-rich grass, clear air and absolutely clean water provide the best conditions for a species-appropriate, natural and healthy diet for the cattle. Nielsen's main focus is on ensuring that his animals can live and grow up as stress-free as possible - after all, this should have a positive effect on the quality of the meat. In Finland he finds exactly the right conditions: vast landscapes with fresh grass and clear air offer ideal living conditions for cattle. These extraordinary living conditions are noticeable with every bite into the hearty steak: the meat is particularly tender and aromatic. In order to enhance the distinctive taste of Finnish Sashi Beef, the animal feed is also enriched with chocolate. Each animal receives between 200 and 500g of fresh whole milk chocolate per day, i.e. no milk powder. An idea that sounds so bizarre that it can't possibly be good? Not even close!
