Pigeonneaux Fermiers du Poitou is run by Chantal and Jany Gerbier and consists of a breeding facility in Saint Sauvant and a slaughterhouse in Pompaire, in the Poitou region. Since 2004, the pigeons have carried the Bleu-Blanc-Coeur label. This label signifies high-quality animal feed with traditional plants such as flaxseed, alfalfa, and rapeseed, which are naturally rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and also contribute to biodiversity. Great emphasis is placed on the animals' well-being during rearing. This includes sufficient high-quality feed, clean nests and lofts, good ventilation, and fresh water at all times.
